The Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Bulletin is a resource that provides students with the information they need to make the most of their undergraduate Business education and to graduate from the School in a timely manner. It is the official source of information regarding Kelley School of Business degree requirements, policies and procedures, and programs of study. Students pursuing degrees, minors, or certificates in other schools on the Bloomington campus should consult the IU Bloomington Bulletins website to find the appropriate bulletin for their degree program. 

General degree requirements for a B.S. in Business can be found in the Business Degree Requirements section of the bulletin. Requirements for the B.S. in Business Intelligence and Data Science (BIDS) can be found in the Joint Degree Requirements section.  Specific requirements for all B.S. in Business majors, minors, and certificates can be found in the Majors, Minors, & Certificates section. While students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the appropriate bulletin (see below), they should also track their degree progress on their Stellic official degree progress audit.

Concerning “degree requirements”, students follow the bulletin published in the year they matriculated (enrolled) as a degree-seeking Kelley School of Business undergraduate student at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). For instance, a new first-year student beginning at IUB in the summer or fall of 2026 will be held to the requirements laid out in the 2026-2027 Bulletin of the Kelley School of Business. Degree requirements outlined in the bulletin are in effect at the time of matriculation and will remain constant throughout your time in the School, assuming you graduate within seven years. IUB Kelley "Policies” are not specific to a student’s matriculation academic year. Once a policy is implemented or updated, it is immediately binding for all current, future, and previous students. For instance, if IUB changes a campus withdrawal policy, it applies to current students, future students, and any previously enrolled students that return later to complete coursework. Students are responsible for planning their own programs of study and for meeting the degree requirements for graduation. For advice regarding fulfilling these requirements and planning a course of study, students admitted to the Kelley School of Business are encouraged to regularly seek out academic advising from Kelley academic advisors. Although academic advisors will do their best to aid students, it is ultimately each student’s responsibility to plan an appropriate academic course of study and to fulfill the various degree requirements. Familiarizing themselves with the contents of this bulletin is a crucial first step that students can and should take to ensure they know what academic options are available to them and what requirements are expected of all students in the Kelley School of Business.
