Required Grades and GPA
- An overall GPA of 2.0 in all courses counting toward the Real Estate Certificate is required.
- Additionally, a minimum grade of C is required in BUS-K 201 and BUS-F 300.
Other Policies
- Students pursuing any IUB bachelor's degree except the Kelley School Bachelor of Science in Business may earn the Real Estate Certificate.
- All courses counting toward the Real Estate Certificate must be completed through IU Bloomington.
- To pursue the Real Estate Certificate, students must complete the Business Certificate Request Form (opens in new window).
Required Courses (18 credits)
- BUS-K 201/K204 (H): Foundations of Business Information Systems and Decision Making (3 credits)
- BUS-F 300: Introduction to Financial Management (3 credits) P: BUS-K 201 or 204 with grade of C or higher
- BUS-F 306: Financial Markets (3 credits) P: BUS-K201 or BUS-K204 with a C or higher
- BUS-F 262 (no longer offered) will fulfill the F306 requirement.
- BUS-R 305: Introduction to Real Estate Analysis (3 credits) P: BUS-K 201 or BUS-K 204 with a grade of C or higher
- BUS-R 440: Real Estate Appraisals (3 credits) P: BUS-F 370 or BUS-F 304 (or BUS-F 300 for non-business majors) with a grade of C or higher; P/C BUS-R 305
- Submit a Course Permission Form for R440 to request concurrent enrollment with BUS-R 305.
- BUS-R 443: Real Estate Finance and Investment Analysis (3 credits) P: BUS-F370 or BUS-F304 (or BUS-F 300 for non-business majors) with a grade of C or higher; P/C BUS-R305

- Submit a Course Permission Form for R443 to request concurrent enrollment with BUS-R 305.
